One of my paintings was recently selected to appear on a BBC 2 programme called Show Me The Monet. I had to take my painting to the Walker Gallery in Liverpool for filming and to show the 'Hanging Committee. The panel of three eminent art critics and authors critiqued my work and voted on it. I can only describe the experience as a cross between appearing on Mastermind and the X Factor! It was an extremely terrifying experience, but exciting at the same time.
I couldn't believe it when all three critics like my work and voted me unanimously to go through to the exhibition at the Royal College in London, where there will be around 300 invited celebrities who collect art and gallery owners. The opening night will end with a silent auction. If my painting sells I have to stay for another day's filming. However, if it doesn't sell, I will have to bring it home on the train!
